seems we all have different numbers:
$ git diff TYPO3_4-5-0..TYPO3_4-6-0 --shortstat 
 2999 files changed, 115058 insertions(+), 152125 deletions(-)

Maybe this is because I set
$ git config --global --add diff.renamelimit 4000
