Well, it is hard to optimize because *standalone* TinyMCE visually loads 
faster than HTMLArea.

It has to be improved in the core of HTMLArea. That's already done in 
TinyMCE, it has code to improve generated HTML and make it look nearly the 
same for all browsers. HTMLArea has something similar but it is not that good.
