thanks for respondig.

Not sure what you mean about Typo1 version, but this is the ImageMagick 
installed and shown in the phpinfo():

The info of our server support admin (the one who maintains the server 
for us) is, that nothing should have been changed, but I think something 
on the server changed, because we didn't change anything related or in 
TYPO3.

I tried several different settings, and using GM works also, but I don't 
get anti-aliased text or shadow neither.

That's so weird - are there any 'best' settings for PHP 5.2.x, 
ImageMagick 6 and GD 2?
