The problems are sites where pages with identical names in different 
branches exists. especially if there are a lot of pages.

compare ist to an full qualified (postal) address:
having a housenumber will make it easier to find the correct house if you 
visit someone. 
'the house of family miller in the mainstreet of city xyz' may(!) be an 
unique address but its not easy to find 
'123 mainstreet in city xyz' will be a better form. (even in countries 
like japan, where the housenumbers are not always in a line)

I would like to to have the pagenumbers be seen by default, as I enable it 
in every installation.
