i remember that we created some initial documents and they should be in
the wiki... just can't find them now.

search this newslist for the outcome of the t3dd workshop.

i personally look currently on how to create thrift interface to some
functions in TYPO3.

this might be an option too, as thrift can generate a REST Interface in PHP.
