Hi Lorenz,

maybe a bit offtopic (no Extbase), but have a look at external_import
from Francois Suter which extends TCA configuration to provide a very
flexible framework for all kinds of importing jobs. It comes with a
backend module and scheduler tasks and handles all updates/inserts
through TCEmain. I have been using it for all my import-tasks and thanks
to a lot of hooks, there's almost no limit ;)
