You just need to export it into your typo3conf/ext/ directory like this:

svn export https://svn.typo3.org/TYPO3v4/CoreProjects/MVC/extbase/trunk/ 
extbase

Just export the trunk or any other version (tags) or revision into the
extension folder - just be sure to name the folder like the extkey is named.
