Hi Bernhard,

you are right that it adds more indirection, and right now the
documentation is still badly lacking. We are currently finishing the
book about Extbase / Fluid; and the reference part of it will become the
reference of Extbase and Fluid. Then, for the tutorial, I hope that we
find some community members who would like to change the situation and
write some nice tutorial (like Franz already started).
