Hi,

It seems that I managed to solve this one :) What i did. First made a backup from phpMyadmin from te (old) tt_news tabel. Reviewing that showed that it had 'zzz_delete_ in front of all lines. So, with a search and replace action I took these zzz_delete_ parts out. Now in the new system I first ran an database Compare in the BE INSTALL TOOL and cleaned it up. Than I went into phpMyadmin at the new system and emptied the tt_news tabel completely. Next I imported into the empty table the adapted old tt_news.sql file.
That worked. the old news articles are back in business :)

Only thing which is not clear, what about the other tt_news tabels? The one with tt_news cache is still the same as before. Is that a problem? Any thoughts about that? Thanks

Regards,

The strange thin is that all the categories are still available in the new/ updated site. So why not the old articles?

>> Hi,
>>
>> Due to a server update I had to update a typo3 system from 4.5. tot 4.7.15. That produced some errors. To get it going I had tot remove amongst others tt_news extension form the BE. On a duplicate site I tried to update tt_news latest version from the extension manager, hoping to keep the many news items! Now it appears there are no news items left in the news_storage_folder.
>> So how to proceed to get the news Items back or if that's possible import them again form the backup.sql file I have form the old, updated site without the new tt_news extension installed?

>> Would be great if I manage to keep or get the news items back again. Thanks. Looking forward to your advises on this.
