[TYPO3-ttnews] caption for images in popup (singleview)?

Hi,

i'm looking for a way to give the images from the single view a caption 
in the popupwindow. Not "one for all" but a different one for each 
image. So the normal wrap doesn't work for me. Adding the field to the 
tt_news table isn't the problem, but it seems to me, that the 
imageLinkWrap is kind of limited in possibilities. Don't know if it's 
even possible, without writing some extra php code?

I've found an extension for regular click-enlarge images: 
dh_popupimg_caption
Maybe someone has already adopted something like that for images in tt_news?
