This should have worked - and you don't have to use the object browser to override values. It's just a good start to look what currently is defined and to proof if your modifications really took effect.

In your case they didn't - don't ask me why. Maybe you changed them in the wrong template - you have to take care in which order you combine/import your TS templates. Maybe there was the 'bug' in your case.
