thanks for testing and for your feedback :-) Please send me your solution 
for the migration from ve_guestbook to tx_comments and I would include it in 
the manual.

did you set all constants like

#single view
plugin.tx_timtab.blogPid = 2

#Startpage of the blog, usually list view
plugin.tx_timtab.homePid = 1

# baseURL
plugin.tx_timtab.homepage = http://www.example.com/

these are used in the trackback link generation.

Please also note that Wordpress does not like trackback URL's containing 
bractets [] therefore a realURL configuration is important. Its a bug of 
Wordpress not timtab ;-)
