[TYPO3-Solr] Elevated search - any experience?

Hi,

I'm going to work with elevated search [1] in a project, where a client
likes to decide a specific document to be on top on specific keywords.

Did anyone try this and would like to share some knowledge on how they
implemented the workflow of editing the elevate.xml file? Did you create a
interface? Would this be interesting as a part of the backend module?
