No, I think the patch does work.

Make sure you have set

lib.parseFunc_RTE.tags.img.postUserFunc.stdWrap.addParams.class = enlargeImg

at the beginning of the setup field of the TypoScript template that 
applies to the page (not in Page TSConfig), and that it is not erased by 
some other setting.
