[TYPO3-RTE] External Image Hosts and adding BBCode Support

If I understand well, you would like to have an additional tab in the 
image dialogue where you can enter the url of an external image? Like 
the image insertion dialogue of the frontend RTE?

You could have custom RTE transformations that would transform your 
marks into html tags on the way to the database and back to bbcode on 
the way to the RTE. But do you want the RTE buttons to insert such bbcodes?
