[TYPO3-RTE] htmlarea and lib.parseFunc_RTE configuration

What seems to be the outcome of the following?

lib.parseFunc_RTE >
lib.parseFunc_RTE < lib.parseFunc

I'm looking at the two TypoScript setup definitions of the above and  
am not sure how the processing differ. What did you find as a  
difference in your real world testing?
