[TYPO3-RTE] Pls. quick tutorial

Hi,

my first post on this list.
I suffered the same issue as martin (see his post <SPAN> Tag lost),
and fixed it as Stanislas suggests:

RTE.default.proc.entryHTMLparser_db.tags.span.fixAttrib.style.unset >
RTE.default.useCSS = 1

But I do not understand why it works ;-(

The TYPO3 Core APIs document  explains the basic RTE whereabouts and i
am able to understand up to
---.entryHTMLparser_db. I do not see where the further portion of the
path is documented: tags.span.fixAttrib.style.unset.

Pls.,  a link or pointer.

ps Why aren`t TSref and all the similar pieces of documentation included
within the extdeveval extension in some smart way, as to be searchable
by a couple of mouse clicks?
