[TYPO3-news] Class Tx_News_ViewHelpers_Widget_PaginateViewHelper does not exist ?

Using Tx_News in a Typo3 7.6.15 system Getting this error:

Could not analyse class: "Tx_News_ViewHelpers_Widget_PaginateViewHelper" maybe not loaded or no autoloader? Class Tx_News_ViewHelpers_Widget_PaginateViewHelper does not exist

Reinstalled the extension, emptied the caches in Install Tool but nothing helps. So what’s wrong here? I have one partial.html template from an older version of tx_news copied over. Could that be the problem here? 
In other words, isn’t it possible using templates from an other (oder) tx_news version in the newer version?
