[TYPO3 Introduction Package] IP files vs extension

Hi Michael,

I'm new to that IP team but I think in that way it is easier to integrate the package in new versions of the surrounding TYPO3 system and can be developed for its own.

In our agency we have a TYPO3 base system. Whenever we start a new project we update the core and all extensions in it and then make a copy of that system to the project target. That's a pretty good approach for our agency but wouldn't work for IP.
Our own extensions are connected with svn:external.
