In fact this was the case up before version 1.3.0 but as after having
waited many months to get reStructuredText syntax highlighting without
success (asked for it, tried to kickstart it according to TextMate rules
and their instructions in the Ace documentation), I decided that I could
not advertise anymore syntax highlighting when reST was not supported
and switched to CodeMirror [1]. Since yesterday brand new version 4.0.0
is used in master branch.

To be honest - and due to my experience with a big editor like Ace - I'm
not sure about it, and Markdown as the downside that it already exists
as many different dialects, but who knows?
