Hi Xavier,

> Regarding the move to another system later, we may easily loose everything.

I just found out that there is an export feature at Disqus.com:
http://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/472149-comments-export

So this looks even more interesting in case we might want to switch at a
later time...

Well, it is integrated for the Facebook and Google buttons, but not for
Disqus - just in case someone interpreted that wrong...

But you have a point, this approach should work for us, similar like
done here:
http://www.welt.de/debatte/kommentare/article12084220/Welt-Online-erklaert-die-Kommentarfunktion.html

It's not allowed, see
http://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/466260-terms-of-service:

"Service Rules"

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
...
(xii) accessing any content on the Service through any technology or
means other than those provided or authorized by the Service or Disqus’
written permission

So, it's possible to get the number of comments through an API, but you
can't show more than this without connecting the user with the Disqus
website.

So, how do you (all) see it if we add Disqus through opt-in (see above
for an example)? Let me know what you think.

Greetings, Michael
