I'm sure that people appreciate translations. But the fact is that
contributions to translations over the years have rare and far apart.
Given the current workload of the Documentation Team we decided that we
didn't want to make particular efforts to provide an official
translation process.
Having translations is still possible though:
- it can be delivered as an extension, just like it is today, although
formatted in reStructuredText.
- we could probably manage some trick to place a translation coming from
an outside project inside the folder structure of docs.typo3.org,
although it would probably require some thinking first. If that were
possible, we could have a multilingual documentation, with languages
available via the "Versions" switcher menu (for example, see extension
"sphinx": http://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/extensions/sphinx/latest/).

Christopher fixed some small stuff, but no real update. Your
contributions are very welcome. I have just created a "6-0" branch, so
work can start on master for a 6.2 version.
(Martin, could you add the 6-0 branch to the rendering for the Editors
Tutorial, please?).

Actually I have never asked (though I thought about it), which may seem
stupid (sheepish grin). It is currently being looked by the Server Team.
Cheers
