Hi Sabine,
> Three things are important: The font for the main text should fit to the Share, it should be plain (no twirls or unnecessary ad-ons) and it needs to be absolutely well readable even though it is set in a smaller size. (e.g. 10 pt) I found a open source font which seems to be capable: The freeSans. I added a Screenshot of the font. What do you think about? There are 4 font weights available. (roman, bold, kursiv, bold-kursiv)

Looks nice, however, as already mentioned, I opened this thread just to
discuss the use of the Share font instead of the previously used font
for headings (Gillius n°2). As a reminder I didn't use the Share font
before, because the bold variant was not available then. I'm doing this
just because Share is the official font, not because I want to change
the template again (we did this just 3 months ago), nor because I love
the Share font (I don't).
> It would be nice to have the bold style of the Share and the Office Template. So we could develop the typography together.
You can download the full Share from the link found here:
http://news.typo3.org/news/article/share/
The Open Office template is available there:

As already said, there will be a phase of design development for the new
templates needed for DocBook rendering. This will be an opportunity to
improve on the current templates, which indeed did not receive attention
by designers.
Cheers
