Well, TYPO3 is rather complex, but also very rich, so I would say you 
need quite a bit of documentation indeed. Maybe it's also because we 
*do* produce a lot of documentation, while other projects will more rely 
on commercial books (although there are quite a few commercial TYPO3 
books too). The fact is that when I look at the current documentation I 
feel that it is very incomplete. We have quite a few very technical 
manuals, but we lack things like a User Manual, an Admin Guide, etc. So 
I don't think the documentation is going to decrease ;-)
