peter and all the other docteam members,

from a _user's_ point of view, i really like the way you (peter) organized
your wiki sections since it is more user focussed in terms of problem
solving.

the wiki should enable users to find what they are looking for: information
about typo3 which they can use in their daily work.
and they should find the needed info fast and without hazzle. so the general
information layout for me seems logical, since as a user you know what you
are looking for and therefor should find the information. so, expanding this
structure with _content_, i think that could be achieved the way you started
it.

perhaps for a more experienced user this layout is to "flat". but maybe it
is possible to create a second index page with a more technical approach,
going more into technical details within the section headlines?!?

also, the current wiki.typo3.org design has improved: the news section on
the right and language selection are very cool features!

so, a combination of "both" wiki's would be VERY cool...

some more thoughts:

peter's "Miscellaneous" section:
in my eyes, it is always a bad idea to have such a section. if you read the
headline "Here you find the HowTo, FAQ, Glossary and so on..." these topics
are very essential! i think the howto's (and typo3 FAQ as well) should build
a very important section of the wiki - this is what people would like to
read (problem solving in the first place, not technical discussion of
database abstraction layers or whatever).

Glossary
also, the typo3 glossary is essential and should go right into the main
navigation menu. many users will visit the wiki to get an explanation for
this and that typo3-specific term. so the glossary would be a great starting
point for their journey within the wiki.

anyway, i appreciate the work and enthusiasm of you all and i hope that one
day these efforts will lead to a "final" wiki structure and people start to
fill in more content.

greets,

rainer
