yep, experimental i would say:)

There are to many things, i did not fully understood.

F.e. the indexing mechanism, there are different services to read exif-data and xmp etc. exiftool is able to read them all... how should i handle that?

you need to configure via Page-TS which information from your meta-data should get into which database field - and back.
I hope, it would run then out of the box. If not i have another thing on my todo list:(

i should.

perhaps it would be usefull to make an extension for delivering exiftool and one which use it? Not sure about it.

So, it didnt worked for you...
my next steps should be then to include the devlog to see whats going wrong.
