[TYPO3-dam] "latest-downloads-teaser" from categories (without manual selection) possible ?

Hi,

i am using DAM on a project and it really helped me to manage a huge 
amount of documents.

Now, i want to display a kind of "Downloads-Teaser" with the latest two 
or three documents from a category, or even better documents that have 
two or more categories. ("latest" could be from field date_cr or date_mod)

All extensions from the TER seem either to be oversized for this (e.g. 
with category-selection from fe, uploads from fe, ...) or can only 
display a manual selection of downloads, which i have already 
implemented with dam_filelinks.


Did i miss THE extension for this kind of dam-usage?
