[TYPO3-dam] DAM metadata problems

Hello,

I am a step further.
I deactivated XMP-extraction, because i wanted exif,iptc - now the  
iptc-data comes in correctly.

But unfortunately the exif extraction via "exif_read_data" ist not  
available on the server / system.

why not? How can I activate it ?
