[TYPO3-dam] DAM Element browser problem - indexing?

I have a problem with the DAM Element Browser.
If I have folder which some files are uploaded to, then I cannot see the 
  files with DAM Element Browser until they have been indexed.
So what the DAM Element Browser sees is only the reflection of what has 
been indexed.
Any solution to this, besided reindexing?
Can I disable the DAM Element Browser somehow?
