[TYPO3-dam] Sorting in Categories

Do you mean sorting the categories themselves?
Or sorting dam entries (you mentioned "files")?
The latter should be possible in the Media Modules and within the 
Elementbrowser (in the latest DAM Version);
Sorting categories themselves is not AFAIR;
