[TYPO3-dam] Resizing on upload

With the large file size of digital image these days, I would like to make it easier for our users by automatically resizing images to a maximum width / height when the images are uploaded.

I have not seen an extension to do that, nor can I find one that allows batch resizing on the server. Is there anything available?
