[TYPO3-dam] DAM(n) problems with sorting

Hi,

i am having difficulties with the sorting methods of the DAM.
I use the sorting to force grouping of files towards the FE.

I am looking how the sorting i sused. does the DAM sort on server file 
name or on the name that it recived in the dam.

does anyone has some more info on this?
