[TYPO3-dam] wrong filebrowser in typo3 4.0 ?

Hi!

Currently i am wondering why i get another filebrowser in typo3 4.0
than in 3.8.0... all dam extension are the same version as in the
3.8.0 installation but the browser is different.

in 3.8 the browser has two tabs and provides the possibility to select
files from the filesystem or to uploads files from local.
in 4.0 the browser has no tabs and only provides the selection of records
from pages...

i use the same code to initialize the column in my tca in both versions:
...
'tx_dam_images' => txdam_getMediaTCA('image_field', 'tx_dam_images'),
...

does anybody has some hints how to fix this ?
