[TYPO3-dam] will DAM suit a DTP extranet?

i made some research and and DCS files (old quadricromy EPS files) aren't so easy to manage.
so yees i was thinking about an external app to batch convert.. since they'll be dozen of thousands of photos i'll need the best "batcher" around :)
