[TYPO3-content-rendering] XHTML strict?

Hi folks,

I am sorry if I ask something thats discussed before (in that case 
please just point me to this discussion), but is it a fixed decission to 
go for xhtml 1.0 strict output?

It could make things more complicated than neccessary to skip 
transitional. I think a lot of people would miss things like "target"...

As far as I know it makes no difference for accessibility and so I would 
like to offer both strict and transitional to choose from or just have 
transitional.
