As I've said, it's ok by me to add this feature. But I certainly will 
try to avoid coding my templates with it ;-)

Probably. But I'm not one of the guys who think that TV has solved all 
their problems.

If I had too much time on my hand I'd do a 
smarty_rendered_content-extension that implements smarty-templates for 
each content element.
