[TYPO3-community] Testing the git version of community / release date

Hi community developers,

How can I best help to test the ext if it is still under development? 
Does testing already make sense if not all functions are implemented yet?

I would like to use community for my website community with about 4000 
users. Since it is still in alpha state, I wonder what TER release date 
you have in mind?

In what way does community differ from cwt_community regarding its 
features? Any major difference?
