[TYPO3-commerce] upgrading installation

Hi,

i have a client who would like to upgrade commerce and TYPO3 from 4.2 to
the latest versions. Currently commerce svn revision r13270 / TER
version 0.10.1 is installed. The reason for the upgrade is that we
expect performance improvements and more stability / flexibility.
Currently the site is quite slow, mainly the single View of products (i
think there is a ->set_no_cache() in pi1). The list view (but not the
pagebrowser :( ) gets cached so list view is fast enough. You can see it
here; http://www.fakieshop.com.  Are there any general advices on how to
uprade such an old version of commerce? AND Typo3 4.5 will be released
in the next days.. Do you think i should upgrade to 4.5? Are there any
problems somebody knows already with compatibility to commerce?
