[TYPO3-commerce] Different packaging variants for articles

Hi list,
is it possible to define different prices for different "packaging 
variants" (i.e. "Dose" / "Faltschachtel") and
do a drop-down in the shop, where the customer can select which variant 
he wants to buy ? Or can this
only be done by defining a new article for each variant ?
