[TYPO3-calendar] Authorization for Cal Indexer

Is it possible to add a non-admin user, the access to the indexer? Our secretary is supposed to set a recurring appointment, but needs access to the indexer for this. Are there possibly other approaches how to solve this problem without overloading the system (like regular cron jobs)?
