Or you release a new major version for that. You would have to rewrite 
the templates anyways ...

If you mean, that you should have the possibility to run the new version 
using a marker-template - this would get quite complicated ...

I now had a quite hard time to get the calendar down to a list view 
instead of a grid to view the events for the current month.
This is a simple example of what I tried to get:

I finally got it working by hiding the date-rows of the previews month, 
using CSS, and adding some custom varaibles for the current day, the 
week-number (not in the example, but I needed it), and so on.

Whereby the workaround using CSS hurts me the most ...

I think this would've been quite easy when FLUID would had been chosen 
as TemplateEngine.
