[Typo3-install] Login-error or session timed-out : (You must have cookies enabled!)

Hi,

My first post ...
I have installed 3.8.0 on a small web server, but i cannot seem to log into 
the admin backend at all, each time i authenticate, I get ....

Login-error or session timed-out : (You must have cookies enabled!)


I dont think there is anything wrong with the server, because some of my 
friends can log in and see the backend completely. At the same time, its 
confusing, because another friend has installed the same version on his 
webserver, and i can log into his backend from the same machine as the one 
im trying to login to my backend with, which makes me think that my browsers 
are all fine.
A few extra items ... I'm noticing that most of the users that cannot login 
are behind hardware firewalls in a mostly corporate environment, whereas the 
users that can are generally dialing up from a small home modem with little 
or no security in place.
Im sure my network AND my web host are to blame somehow, or perhaps the way 
that I have installed typo3.

Please, can someone help me. ! :)
