[TYPO3-english] how to analyze page generation?

I have two TYPO3 installations on the same server which are nearly 
identical for content and for configuration.

rendering the same page (without cache) the rendering times differ 
drastically:
on installation 1 it takes about 1 second
on installation 2 it takes about 4 seconds

not all pages have this relation, but the general faktor is 2: all pages 
from installation render much slower than the same page from installation 1

how can I analyze what takes so long?
