[TYPO3-english] Menu links without ids

Hi,
I have recently downloaded typo3 introduction package, but encountered a problem. The menu links does not have ids, and the links are dysfunctional.

The only working links are in the format http://localhost/index.php?id=1 . 
The links that are not working are in the format http://localhost/about-typo3/

How can i solve the issue. Thanks in advance for your help.
