[TYPO3-english] fe_user login - one domain two installations

Hi,

I'm currently developing a database solution on the domain
database.domain.tld. This database requires frontend login. The
cookiedomain is database.domain.tld

Meanwhile, sub1.domain.tld, sub2.domain.tld and sub3.domain.tld are
three sites running in one page tree. These pages are a portal, with
frontend login possibilities. The cookiedomain is ".domain.tld" (mind
the dot in the start :)

If i have been visiting one of the sub sites, I have a fe_typo_user
cookie domain set for domain ".domain.tld". On database.domain.tld a
fe_typo_user cookie is set, with the domain ".database.domain.tld"
and(!) "database.domain.tld".

This conflicts with the first multipage installation, so my login
session expires on database.domain.tld and I can't stay logged in.

What would be the best way to configure my TYPO3 installations, for
this scenario to work with no conflicts?

Currently the multisite installation is in a "frozen mode", so I can't
make changes to that installation, unless it is really nescessary!

I hope that someone can help, and that the good people at T3DD11 is
having a great time! :)

Regards,

Søren Malling
