[TYPO3-english] POUND Sign again

I have migrated a clients site to a different server and also updated TYPO3

Version  = TYPO3 4.3.0

Using UTF-8

However, pound sign is not displayed in news next, has anybody come accross

this before, searched all over but ot no avail :(
