[TYPO3-english] Updated realurl documentation?

The realurl documentation on typo3.org seems to be way out of date. Is 
there an updated version or tutorial somewhere?

And while I'm asking, can someone tell me the new location of 
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['EXTCONF']['realurl'] ? (I need to change 
reapplyAbsRefPrefix, apparently... which isn't in the config docs that I 
can find.)

And can anyone who uses it let me know if you're using <base> or absrefs?
