[TYPO3-english] Renaming the typo3/ directory ... problems abound

Hi Steffen,
yes i think this would be a great feature, ultimately wouldn't it be
nice to just have a setting in the install tools general settings where
you just define the name of the typo3 folder, just like you define the
name of the site ?
The reason i would like to do this is that it's just nicer for the end
user, and especially when you have editors that don't have full admin
rights .. if there is only one client it's easy to explain to them why
the typo3/ link is there, but for most editors it's completely
irrelevant which technology is running the website and an adress like
/admin or /editor just makes more sense ... i think it would also
probably be a good security feature that not all backends can be acessed
via /typo3, but then again i don't know anything bout that really :-)
i would gladly provide 'patches' for this but to be honest i'm
completely in the dark as to how i would do this, although i have been
using typo3 for many years i have never participated in the source
development and have no clue about CVS, bugtrackers, patches, diffs and
the like ... could you maybe point me to some good documentation
ressources where i could learn about these things ? I would gladly start
contributing but don't really know where/how to get started ...
i will play around with this for a bit doing find/replaces with BBedit
and syncing folders via FTP and see how that goes and will report back ...
Kind Regards
Christoph
