[TYPO3-english] tx_sv_auth - Password not accepted - Typo3 4.4.1

Hi,

my system:

Server: mysql-5.1.49, php-5.3.2, php-eaccelerator-0.9.6.1, httpd-2.2.3.
Client: Mac OS X Firefox, crome, safari.

The Problem:

After an upgrade from typo3 4.1, mysql 4.0.x and php 5.2.x some BE users
still cant log in. It's the same for existing and new users.


I cleared all caches, tempfiles ... everyting I can think of.

I installed and enabled the devlog (enable_DLOG=1).

In the log I do get the message, that the password is not accepted.

One admin user can login. I copied that password to the password for teh
non working accounts in the database ... but the same error pops up.

And suggestions, any hint?
