[TYPO3] Extensions forms and flexforms

Is it possible to remove the Starting Point that is always created and
re-create it in a flex form. I have seen this on some extensions, and I can
see from the flex form how the Starting Point is made. What I can't see is
how the default Starting Point was removed from the extension form.

Also, how can I add descriptions and a help link like many other fields
have? Is this possible with flexform fields?
